CCNP® Routing and Switching Certification

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing & Switching certification tests the ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work on networking security, voice, wireless and video network solutions. The CCNP Routing & Switching certification is suitable for those with at least one year of networking experience desirous to advance their skills and work independently on complex network solutions. Those who achieve CCNP Routing and Switching certification have required skills in enterprise roles such as network engineer,  network technician, systems engineer, etc. The routing and switching protocol knowledge from this certification validates their skills in advanced network management using Cisco networking equipment.

Pre-requisite: Valid CCNA Certification

Beginning January 30, 2015, 300-101 ROUTE, 300-115 SWITCH and 300-135 TSHOOT exams will be the only exams available for registration.

Recertification -CCNP Routing and Switching

Cisco professional level certifications (CCDP, CCNP, CCSP, CCIP, CCVP, CCNP Wireless) are valid for three years. To re-certify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date: Successfully completed any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or Successfully completed  any current CCIE Written Exam, or Successfully completed  the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or Re-certifying any of the certifications above automatically extends your active Associate and Professional level certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved.
